My land is your land… your land is my land… from…

Long ago, one of our guest said to my mom, ” Hvar is the place from where God surely started to create the world”. Can I deny it? No, I cannot.

Well, I actually love to travel and see all the other beautiful places, but I cannot do always as I wish. So it happens that I stay here and meet the world, as all people come here for a visit.

We all feel joy to see nice things and places. Some of it some day might become my or your  homeland. What is a Homeland? It possibly is a place our heart loves to be.

For the Creator of all of the World, happiness might possibly be, to see us World-travelers enjoying and appreciating it.

If I did come to the point, well than I can now proudly show bit of this beauty, by posting some nice picture of Hvar. See and think twice, if you can beat me!

Are they? Well, it is in the nature of a search engine to give answer to a question -for the people and by the people. If the memory base of a search engine is bigger, than the targeted answers get more relevant- and this is what anyone clicking on the net is expecting of it… right?
Well, I myself as a native from Hvar, can learn more about my town through Yahoo and Google, than through my own daily observation…
When typing : Hvar accommodation or Hvar Hostels in one of search sites, a traveler can get more than satisfying info about place to stay in Hvar, and if you ask for Hvar Attractions or anything else, you will get a water fall of tips and recommendations… it is simply overwhelming.

Hvar families have lived for generations in same house and were very  bound to the property, so the old houses in the central part of Hvar are witnessing with their every stone the long tradition and life stile of the past centuries.

The historical pedestrian area centering on main square and the port are like a Museum With People Leaving in… this is Hvar as it was and maybe will continue to be.

Unique image of Hvar was earned through the lavender fields, which were planted centuries ago. Growing of rosemary, grapes and carob trees are another typical Mediterranean brand of Hvar.

Nautical tourism is tied up with shipbuilding… In Croatia and elsewhere. We have to learn from good examples of our neighboring countries, even go Far East if necessary – see Korea…

The first luxury yacht with brand new technology was built in YEOSU,  in Jeonnam South province of Korea, through the revolutionary “NC Negative Resin Mold” process invented and patented by Mr. Sun Myung Moon. The process makes use of digital technology and new composite materials to make a reusable mold that cuts production time in half. Korea, already the world’s largest shipbuilder, is now poised to enter the leisure boat industry, just in time for the Yeosu Ocean Expo 2012.

On this occasion, the mayor, the Hon. Choong-seok Kim, thanked to Father Moon for his years of investment in the Yeosu area and his support for the once-struggling coastal town that will soon be the focus of a major international exposition. The governor of Jeonnam South, Dr. Joon-young Pak, said he hoped the new boat would be the first of many that would bring more prosperity and the world’s attention to the area.

On the opening remark it was given the word to Mr. Kook Jin Moon, Chairman of the Tongil Group, who expressed his gratitude, saying: “My father has been investing in the ocean for more than 50 years, and he is especially interested in small boats that many people can use. But the real reason we are here today is to inherit his true love and practice it in our lives.”

The Croatian shipbuilding in Rijeka and Split was known throughout the world for its quality; lets put the emphasis on was. Well, it is facing nowadays new challenges as many other countries do. It will have to adapt and look for new pattern, if it wants to prosper again in the Mediterranean region – Adriatic see and the Croatian coast is awaiting.

Tips about budget trips…

A companies  like Lonely Planet and Roughguides give a lot of  info about traveling…  they offer travel magazines and tourist guide books, giving a new taste for new destinations…

Croatia is pointed by them as one of the new top destination in 2011, especially the Istria. In generally, it is good to follow some of the tips offered by LonelyPlanet and Roughguides. They focus now a lot more on Croatia,  to possibly enhance your holiday experiences.

If you are traveling on low budget, you might check what is actual and what are the offerings. If you go from Istria bit further south the Croatian Coast…  visiting area from Split to Dubrovnik, your way will go via Hvar, where you can find an Hvar accommodation at guesthouse Zakaria, one of recommended hostels…

The International regatta was held here in Hvar from December 28th till 30th.

On the first day the start was delayed due to weak wind. However, later on, they went out and did their maximum they could, and came back in the darkens…obviously exhausted -brave kids.

On the second day the competitors were still waiting in Hvar port at their starting position, hopping some wind breeze will pas by – later one the comity decided to give it up… so the day was lost.

Hvar regatta, return in darkness -exhausted but happy.

On the last day a late wind came to save the event – the prayer was heard- the regatta was accepted. The victorious smile went to the Belorussian team -Congratulation.

Son zamanlarda Turk turistleri Hvar`i ve guzelliklerini kesfetmeye basladi.

Misafirhanemizde bazilarini agirladik.

Turkce konusamadigimiz icin uzgunuz. Yine de size de aramizda gormek ve agirlamak isteriz.
